What It Recognizes
Daughters Day is an initiative to celebrate the lives, contributions and achievements of all daughters; and to work to ensure that every daughter has full opportunity to achieve all she can without discrimination or abuse.
Please join us for this free community event that will recognize the achievements of six inspiring women who are contributing to their communities in the areas of arts, business, leadership, human rights and community building. As in the past, the event will also include a proclamation of Daughters Day by the Mayor, a keynote speech, messages of support, an information fair, entertainment by local artists, and refreshments.
Information Fair — Daughters Day recognizes the work of organizations that provide services and supports to daughters in Alberta. We are extending an invitation to those organizations to join us and share your work on Daughters Day, September 8th. Tables are free. Register by completing the Information Fair Registration 2018.
Support — For those wishing to support our work, we are inviting you to attend the event, nominate a daughter for the Daughter of the Year awards, make a donation or become a partner, place your business logo on our T-Shirts, take an advertisement in our program booklet, and of course send us a message of support that will be publicly acknowledged at this event. Details of these suggestions are as follows:
