Dr. Dayle Poitras-Oster is a Métis veterinarian, educator, and consultant whose work bridges animal health, Indigenous world view, and culturally grounded curriculum design. Her background includes mixed animal clinical practice, community outreach, and advisory roles across provincial and academic committees focused on equity, diversity, and Indigenous engagement. Currently she is an instructor and the Senior Veterinary Medical Director in the Veterinary Technology program at NAIT, does locum veterinary work, and works as a curriculum consultant for the University of Calgary Veterinary Medicine. 

Additionally, she has a main role on APTN’s Wild Rose Vets, bringing light to the life of a rural Indigenous mixed animal veterinarian. Recognized with honours such as Alberta’s Top 30 Under 30 and the Esquao Award for Health & Medicine, Dayle continues to champion community-centered care and the advancement of Indigenous voices within the veterinary profession. She enjoys camping, riding horses, and attending cultural events. In her spare time, Dayle prioritizes spending time with her one-year-old and husband.
