Daughters Day 2026

Nominate a Daughter of the Year

Nominations for 2026 are now closed. Thank you to those of you who nominated a Daughter of the Year. Check back for when nominations open for 2027.

Presented by Canadians for A Civil Society, the mission of Daughters Day is the elimination of gender inequality, violence, and discrimination against girls and women and those who identify as such at home, at school, in the workplace, and on the street. Daughters Day reflects the dreams and aspirations of Canadians for A Civil Society in establishing a Civil Society in Canada which is unattainable unless 50 percent of the population – those who identify as women– achieve gender equality without the threat of violence and discrimination.

Nominate a deserving individual for the 2026 Daughter of the Year Award!

Think of those individuals you know, at any place in their lives, who impress you with how they are making life better in our communities, how they exemplify qualities or actions that inspire others or demonstrate exceptional achievement, perhaps in the face of significant challenges.

Celebrate Daughters Day 2026 with us on September 19, 2026 at Edmonton City Hall (1 Sir Winston Churchill Square)
